Brendan, No-one could drink your share of the wine though,.
I am hoping to be there Saturday , so will partake of a glass of beer, and maybe a pork scratching. will book the bunk bed, the room with the fan heater fitted.

Hello Devon John!!

I've managed to talk someone into covering my night shifts, so will turn up Friday some time!!!

I'll call the man tomorrow about booking a bed in a Lodge for two nights.

Can you add my name to the Breakfast list please?
I'll mention breakfast tomorrow when I book!

Hi John

Last week (18th) I booked and paid for two nights in a bunk house and two breakfasts.

He said there are no Lodges open this year, all closed up for maintenance!!

John,

None of this would take place without your efforts and diplomatic encouragement. It's so good to see a man who knows how to react to constructive criticism, from whichever direction it may come from.

There was the night shift Steward who caught John's eye......
John: "If you don't fuck off and stop counting heads, I'm gunna punch yours into next week!"

Then when I proferred the odd (not too odd) bit of culinary advice.......
John: "Look, who's fucking cooking this; me or you?" (Said whilst waving a large carving knife)

Sometimes I think that Brendan got off light in France being hit only the once around the back of his head with the saucepan!

But....... we always come back for more John! Great Rally

Then there was Uncle Albert on his Black Man's Willy:
"During the War......."
"It weren't my fault....."
"How was I to know there was a bloody great mine there?......."

Priceless!
